MGC Gene Expression Service

Focused gene expression is performed on Applied Biosystems' 7900 Real-Time PCR System using both pre-developed and custom TaqMan^® Gene Expression Assays. This platform is best used to interrogate a small number of genes on a large number of samples. Raw data analysis is performed with Sequence Detection Systems software from Applied Biosystems.

Whole genome expression is performed on Illumina's iScan System using either a Direct Hybridization Assay for intact samples or a cDNA-mediated annealing, selection, extension, and ligation assay (DASL) for partially degraded samples such as those from FFPE tissue. Raw data analysis is performed with GenomeStudio^® Data Analysis software from Illumina.
