Molecular Genomics Core Lab Facility

Director: Yutao Liu, PhD
Manager: Karen Abramson, MPH

Established in 1996, the Molecular Genomics Core Lab (MGC) is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a variety of experimental platforms to facilitate genomics research. Our services cover not only human genetic research, but also model organisms including, but not limited to, mouse, rat, cow and zebrafish.

The MGC houses Applied Biosystems and Illumina instruments to perform genotyping, DNA re-sequencing, next-generation sequencing, gene expression, and copy number variation experiments of all sizes.

Due to the unique nature of each project, our services are customized to meet each researcher's needs. MGC faculty and staff are available to assist in study design to identify the optimal molecular platform needed to realize research goals. For further information please contact Karen Abramson.
